Tim Johnson

Tim Johnson's work focuses primarily on painting although in the past he has also made wall mounted and free standing objects. Johnson is fascinated by proportional relationships between visual elements, and the way we impose concepts of size and measure (a type of intelligible order) onto the infinite gradations of size found in the natural continuum. The creative concept of delineating, marking out or 'sculpting' form and space is therefore the foundation upon which his work is based.

Tim Johnson's exhibitons include: 'Lines Links: Mondrian and Van der Laans Plastic Number' 2010, Centre for Drawing project Space, Wimbledon College of Art, CCW, UAL, UK (solo exhibition),  'Abstract Truth' 2009/10, FW:BK Galerie, Amsterdam, The Netherlands (group exhibition),  'Thema Geometrische Schilderijen & Objecten' 2009, St Joseph Galerie, Leeuwarden, The Netherlands (group exhibition),  'Geometric Paintings' 2008, St Joseph Galerie, Leeuwarden, The Netherlands (group exhibition),  'Recent Paintings' 2007,  FW:BK Galerie, Amsterdam, The Netherlands (solo exhibition).

Tim Johnson is Painting Specialist Technician at Wimbledon College of Arts.
